Safety Guidelines

Effective May 2026

1. Safety First

STOPPorn is intended to provide accountability, encouragement, and support, but no platform can guarantee personal safety, recovery, compatibility, or positive outcomes.

Users remain solely responsible for their decisions, actions, and interactions with other users both on and off the Service.

You should exercise sound judgment, protect your personal information, and discontinue any interaction that makes you uncomfortable or unsafe.

The existence of profiles, messages, streaks, affirmations, or accountability features does not constitute a guarantee regarding the truthfulness, intentions, qualifications, or conduct of any user.

2. Not a Crisis Service

The Service is not an emergency service, crisis hotline, suicide prevention service, or substitute for immediate professional intervention.

If you are in immediate danger, believe you may harm yourself or another person, or require urgent medical or psychiatric assistance, call local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource immediately.

Messages, reports, and other communications submitted through the Service may not be reviewed in real time and should not be relied upon for urgent assistance.

3. Not Therapy or Medical Care

The Service does not provide psychotherapy, counseling, psychiatric treatment, medical care, diagnosis, or professional advice.

Content provided through the Service, including affirmations, peer messages, educational materials, and accountability interactions, is offered for general informational and supportive purposes only.

No content or interaction on the Service should be interpreted as establishing a therapist-patient, physician-patient, fiduciary, or other professional relationship.

Users are encouraged to seek qualified healthcare or mental health professionals for diagnosis, treatment, or individualized guidance regarding medical, psychological, or sexual health concerns.

4. Peer Interaction Risks

The Service enables users to communicate with and support one another, but other users are not screened, licensed, certified, or endorsed by STOPPorn unless expressly stated otherwise.

Advice, opinions, recommendations, and personal experiences shared by users may be incomplete, inaccurate, inappropriate, or harmful.

You are solely responsible for evaluating the information you receive and for deciding whether to follow any suggestion, recommendation, or course of action discussed through the Service.

We do not guarantee the qualifications, intentions, honesty, compatibility, or conduct of any user and disclaim responsibility for reliance on user-generated content or peer advice.

5. Protect Your Privacy

Users should exercise caution when sharing personal information with others through the Service.

We recommend that you do not disclose your home address, financial information, passwords, government identification numbers, private photographs, workplace details, school information, or other sensitive data that could compromise your privacy or security.

You should use particular care before moving conversations to text messaging, social media, email, video calls, or in-person meetings.

If another user pressures you to disclose information or engage in conduct that makes you uncomfortable, you should discontinue the interaction and report the behavior when reporting tools are available.

6. Reporting Safety Concerns

If another user threatens, harasses, manipulates, exploits, coerces, or otherwise causes you to feel unsafe, you should discontinue the interaction and submit a report through the Service when reporting tools are available.

Reports help us investigate potential violations of the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and applicable law, but we do not guarantee that any particular action will be taken or that all harmful conduct will be detected or prevented.

Where we determine that conduct presents a significant risk to users or reasonably appears to involve unlawful activity, we may preserve relevant information and cooperate with law enforcement or other appropriate authorities as permitted or required by law.

Users remain responsible for protecting their own wellbeing and for contacting emergency services or other appropriate resources when immediate assistance is needed.
